Introducing the TTE500 performance turbocharger, Including a CNC matched and ported OE intake pipe for the 2.5 TFSI motor. Based on the original turbocharger but upgraded to new higher output specification. Offering The Complete Ultra Plug & Play Upgrade to over 500PS.
Engineered & Enhanced
At the core of our TTE500 is a much larger TTE 3371X compressor wheel, chosen because it is highly efficient and creates extremely high flow for comparative size. Re-Profiled compressor cover to optimized tolerance to ensure maximum compressor efficiency is given.
We CNC mill the exhaust turbine housing to accept a larger K24 turbine and shaft, Turbine and shaft being BorgWarner (Porsche) K24 items. K24 turbine is clipped at BorgWarner. Clipping reduces the blade area thus increasing gas flow and so reduce back pressure and lowering exhaust gas temperatures, allowing safer higher boost level's. This clipping also gives a secondary advantage of removing some material, lightening the turbine thus reducing rotational mass improving moment of inertia and spool.
Attention is given to CNC port the exhaust runners at the flange to match and smooth the transition from head to exhaust runner for maximum gas speed and so improving efficiency to the bigger turbine.
Special profile 360 deg high performance motorsport journal bearing is fitted, to remain durable at higher loads with no loss in transient response. Actuator used is uprated sprung OE unit, fitted with our reinforced clamps for trouble free operation. This also can also be modified to customer needs and specifications.
The intake pipe included with this upgrade has been CNC milled and hand finished to match and smooth the transition to the larger compressor inlet opening to lower turbulence and maximise velocity, this is sealed to the compressor cover by a viton rubber o-ring for a constant dependable seal.
Equilibrium
Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with serial numbered balance test result document.
